Computex 2019: ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo features two 4K screens
Alongside the updated ZenBook notebooks, Taiwanese tech giant ASUS has also launched a premium ZenBook Pro Duo laptop. Thanks to its dual 4K displays, full-sized keyboard, and gaming laptop-class internals, the new model takes laptop design and performance to the next level. Additionally, ASUS has also unveiled a cheaper and smaller 14-inch model called the ZenBook Duo. Here are the finer details.
ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo: At a glance
From the outside, the 2.5Kg ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo looks like any other premium laptop. However, on the inside, it is a whole new world because of its dual 4K screens. It features a 15-inch 16:9 HDR OLED main display along with a 32:9 IPS "ScreenPad Plus" secondary screen directly above the full-sized keyboard and a numberpad cum trackpad on the bottom right corner.
ScreenPad Plus comes with a dedicated software for improved workflow
While the main display is great, the ScreenPad Plus steals the show. The matte-finished screen comes preloaded with ScreenXpert software which enables multiscreen window and app management. This means you can use it as a full 32:9 monitor or split it into two smaller 16:9 1080p windows. Moreover, you can de-clutter your main display by placing apps, toolbars, and menus on the ScreenPad Plus.
Under the hood
The device is powered by upto an eight-core Intel Core i9 processor, coupled with upto 32GB of RAM, 1TB PCIe 3.0 SSD, and gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. It also packs four far-field microphones that allow you to summon Alexa and Cortana with voice commands. Lastly, it offers a Thunderbolt 3 port, two USB-A ports, a headphone jack, and HDMI port.
ASUS has also unveiled ZenBook Duo and ZenScreen Touch display
Alongside the Pro model, ASUS has unveiled a cheaper 14-inch model called the ZenBook Duo. It carries the same design as Duo Pro but with full HD screens, upto Intel Core i7 Processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU. Moreover, the company has also launched a 15.6-inch ZenScreen Touch portable display with an in-built battery and support for multiple devices such as smartphones and cameras.
ASUS is yet to announce the pricing
As of now, ASUS has not announced the pricing and availability details for the ZenBook Pro Duo, the ZenBook Duo, and ZenScreen Touch. However, they are expected to arrive in the third quarter of this year.
