These ASUS ZenFone models are getting cheaper in India
In a bid to take on players like Xiaomi and Samsung, Chinese giant ASUS has slashed the prices of popular ZenFone models by up to Rs. 5,000. The company has given a price cut on its 2018 flagship ZenFone 5Z as well as three budget-oriented phones: ZenFone Max Pro M1, Max Pro M2, and Max M2. Here are the revised prices.
ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1
The price of ZenFone Max Pro 1, one of the most popular ASUS phones, is being revised by Rs. 1,500. This means the 3GB/32GB variant of the device now starts at Rs. 8,499 instead of Rs. 9,999, while the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB variants will come at Rs. 10,499 and Rs. 12,499, respectively. It packs an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery.
ZenFone Max Pro M1 features
ZenFone Max Pro M1 leverages SD636 to power a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display. For photography, the 6GB RAM variant offers a 16MP+5MP rear camera setup and a 16MP selfie-shooter. Meanwhile, the mid-end and entry-level variants sport a 13MP+5MP setup with an 8MP front camera.
ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2
ZenFone Max Pro M2, aka the 'notched' successor of Max Pro M1, is getting a price cut of Rs. 3,000 across all three RAM and storage variants. So, starting yesterday, the base 3GB/32GB avatar of the phone will come at Rs. 9,999 instead of Rs. 12,999, while the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB variants will be retailing at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 13,999, respectively.
ZenFone Max Pro M2's specifications
ASUS offers ZenFone Max Pro M2 with a 6.26-inch full-HD+ display powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset. The phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery and sports a 12MP (f/1.8)+ 5MP dual camera setup on the back and a 13MP(f/2.0) selfie shooter with dedicated LED flash.
ASUS ZenFone Max M2
Along with the 'Pro' models, ASUS has also slashed the price of Max M2 budget phone by Rs. 1,500. This device will now start at a price of Rs. 8,499 for the base 3GB/32GB variant. Meanwhile, the higher-end variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will come at Rs. 10,499 instead of the regular Rs. 11,999.

ASUS has been giving occasional discounts on ZenFone 5Z, but now, the 2018 flagship is available with a permanent price cut of Rs. 5,000. This means that you can grab the 6GB/64GB variant of ASUS' OnePlus 6T competitor for just Rs. 24,999. The 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants, on the other hand, would be available at Rs. 27,999 and Rs. 31,999, respectively.
