ASUS ROG Phone 2 sold out in first sale
ASUS ROG Phone 2, the powerful phone which takes on the likes of OnePlus 7T with one heck of a spec-sheet has received great response in India. It went on its first sale via Flipkart and was sold out in no time. However, those who have ordered the phone will have to wait till October 8, that's when the company would start shipping them.
At a glance
As far as its specifications are concerned, it features a conventional rectangular design with prominent top and bottom bezels. On the rear, it houses horizontally aligned dual cameras and customizable LED logo. It comes with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution, HDR10 support, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch-sensing rate. It gets an under-display fingerprint scanner and Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
What about cameras?
The dual rear camera module on the ASUS ROG Phone 2 comprises a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and 13MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle sensor. Up front, there is a 24MP (f/2.2) shooter for selfies, video calling, and face unlock. Moreover, the main camera supports 4K video recording at upto 60fps, while the selfie camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

The ASUS ROG Phone 2 comes with top-tier internals including all-new Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, upto 12GB RAM, and upto 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It packs a 6,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 (30W) fast-charging support. Further, it is offered with 2 OS options including Android Pie-based ZEN UI or gaming-centric ROG UI.
Connectivity options and media details
In terms of connectivity options, the ROG Phone 2 comes with support for dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a headphone jack. Furthermore, the handset gets dual-stereo speakers, two Type-C ports, a bunch of optional gaming accessories, and vapor chamber cooling system.
