ASUS starts releasing Android 10 update for ROG Phone 2
After months of testing and debugging, ASUS has finally started rolling out the Android 10 update for its flagship gaming handset, the ROG Phone 2. The new software version brings all the goodies of Android 10, including a new user interface, updated animations, dark mode, and several other minor tweaks as well as performance enhancements. The ASUS ROG Phone 2 comes with a conventional rectangular design with proportional bezels. On the rear, it houses horizontally aligned dual cameras and customizable LED logo. The handset features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution, HDR 10 support, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch-sensing rate. It also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner and Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

The dual-lens rear camera setup on the ROG Phone 2 includes a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 13MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, it houses a 24MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper. The main camera is capable of recording 4K videos at up to 60fps.
Under the hood
The ROG Phone 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, combined with up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Under the hood, it packs a gigantic 6,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 (30W) fast-charging support. The handset also gets a dedicated vapor chamber cooling system, dual-stereo speakers, two Type-C ports, and some optional gaming accessories.
Pricing and availability
As for the pricing, the ASUS ROG Phone 2 starts at Rs. 37,999 for the entry-level 8GB/128GB variant and Rs. 59,999 for the top-end 12GB/512GB model. However, the phone is facing a temporary outage in India due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
