ASUS ZenFone Max M1, ZenFone Lite L1 launched in India
Expanding its portfolio of budget smartphones, Taiwanese electronics giant ASUS has launched the ZenFone Max M1 and ZenFone Lite L1 models in India. Both the phones feature traditional HD+ displays and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The Max M1 model is priced at Rs. 8,999 while the Lite L1 model will cost Rs. 6,999. ASUS ZenFone Max M1: At a glance
The ASUS ZenFone Max M1 features a 5.45-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio with 400-nits brightness and 82% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 430 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB). The phone runs on Android Oreo-based on ZenUI 5.0 and packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging.

ASUS ZenFone Max M1 sports a 13-MP (f/2.0) single rear camera with 1.12um pixel size, PDAF, LED flash and support for HDR and Portrait mode. Up front, the phone gets an 8-MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper with 1.12um pixel size, and LED flash.

The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 430 processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB). The ZenFone Lite L1 runs on Android Oreo-based on ZenUI 5.0 and packs a 3,000mAh battery.

The ASUS ZenFone Lite L1, like Max M1 variant, gets a 13-MP single rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, PDAF, and LED flash support. Up front, the phone sports a 5-MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.2um pixel size, and LED flash support.
Connectivity options and sensors onboard both the models
In terms of connectivity options, both the ASUS ZenFone Max M1 and ZenFone Lite L1 support dual-SIM cards, Wi-Fi 80211 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, GLONASS, among other standard options. Sensors onboard both the phones include an accelerometer, e-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. Notably, the ZenFone Max 1 gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor while the Lite L1 offers face lock technology.
Availability and launch offers
The Lite L1 is priced at Rs. 6,999 but will be made available at Rs. 5,999 (introductory price). Likewise, Max M1 comes at Rs. 8,999 and will be offered at Rs. 7,499. Both the phones, available in Black and Gold, will be sold exclusively via Flipkart during the upcoming Dhamaka Days sale. Launch offers include Rs. 2,200 cashback and 50GB data for Jio users.
