ASUS 5Z gets Rs. 3,000 price cut in India
The Taiwanese tech giant ASUS has reduced the prices of its ASUS 5Z smartphone in India by Rs. 3,000. With this price revision, the 2018 flagship is now available at a starting price of Rs. 24,999 via Flipkart. The phone comes with a full-HD+ notched display, dual rear cameras, 3,300mAh battery, and flagship-grade internals. Here's more.

With this latest price reduction, the ASUS 5Z is now available at a price of Rs. 24,999 (previous price: Rs. 27,999) for the entry-level 6GB/128GB model, while the top-variant 8GB/256GB variant is retailing at Rs. 28,999 (previous price: Rs. 31,999) via Flipkart. Meanwhile, buyers can avail 5% cashback on payments using Flipkart Axis Bank cards and Rs. 17,900 discount on old smartphone exchange.

To recall, the ASUS 5Z sports a wide notched display with a thin bottom bezel up front. On the backside, the glossy metallic panel houses dual cameras, an LED flash, and a physical fingerprint scanner. Further, the phone sports a 6.2-inch LCD display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2246 pixels) resolution, 18.7:9 aspect ratio, and 402ppi pixel density.

The ASUS 5Z comes with a dual rear camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and an 8MP (f/2.0) ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, the handset sports an 8MP (f/2.0) single selfie shooter. Furthermore, the main camera can record 4K videos at 30fps, while the selfie camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.

The ASUS 5Z is fueled by a Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with upto 8GB RAM and upto 256GB of internal storage (expandable upto 2TB). Under the hood, the handset runs on Android Oreo-based ZenUI 5 and packs a 3,300mAh battery. The phone gets all standard sensors and connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
