iOS 17 is getting some new features for the Phone app, Message app, and FaceTime. The Phone app is getting a new contact card or personalized contact poster that will appear on the call screen with customizable typography. It kinda looks cool. Another new feature is live voicemail, which provides live transcription of voicemail in real time. FaceTime will now let you record a message for people to view later if case they didn't answer the call.
Vision Pro uses new authentication system called Optic ID. It uses iris details to authenticate you. All the data is encrypted, stored locally on the device and works with Secure Enclave.
As per Apple, "visionOS is the first OS designed for the ground up for spatial computing." There are elements of macOS, iOS and iPadOS in this software along with a spatial audio core, among other bits. Several iPadOS and iOS apps will be available on day one when the Vision Pro launches. There will be a brand new app store for the Vision Pro.
The big google-shaped Vision Pro has a thick, elastic headband and the entire front is a single piece of glass that acts as a lens for eyesight and the cameras. The frame is made of recycled aluminum. The design modular, allowing you to find the best fit. Magnetic lenses have been created in partnership with ZEISS for prescription wearers. The display has micro-OLED Apple silicon backplane, packing 23 million pixels across both displays. For spatial audio, it has dual audio pods. The external battery pack offers 2 hours of use time per charge. The device is powered M2 chip along with new chip called R1 especially for real-time processing via the 12 cameras, five sensors, six mics.

Vision Pro can not only let you see your regaluar and Panoramo pictures and videos in new spatial experience but also capture 3D moments. Vision Pro packs Apple's first 3D camera, allowing you to capture and relive memories in 3D with spatial audio. Apart from work, you can also experience movies in AR as well as 3D movies. You can also play games on a screen as large as you want. Over 100 Apple Arcade titles will available when the device launches.

With the new watchOS 10, you can view a smart stack of widgets from any watchface by simply turning the digital crown. The World Clock app now shows dynamic background colors. The Health app is slightly updated with new Cycling tracking ability. There is also a new Snoopy watchface. Compass will now generate two new waypoints: last location you had cell network and last location from where you can make an emergency call using any network. Maps app has also been updated to have more trails and trailhead details. From the Mindfullness app, you can describe your feelings and log your state of mind.
Apple is introducing new FaceTime app on Apple TV. It uses continuity camera on your iPhone and iPad. Video calls will also support effects and SharePlay. Zoom and Webex will also come to Apple TV.
Adaptive Audio combines best of noise-canceling and transparency modes. It dynamically blends them to match conditions of your surroundings. With AirPods Pro, when you start speaking, music is reduced and voices enhanced. The AirPods switching experience between connected devices is now faster and smoother.
With Video conferencing, you can add effects to your video calls while you share your screen. The feature works across all apps, including Meet, Zoom, and FaceTime. Safari has also gotten some updates. Private browsing now locks your windows, blocks trackers, and removes URL trackers for a more secure browsing experience. Safari has also gained Web apps and new browser profiles that separate cookies, extensions, tab groups, and bookmarks.

Through Continuity, you will be able to use your iPhone widgets on your Mac without downloading them. Apple has also introduced a dedicate Game Mode for immersive gaming, ensuring the game gets highest priority on CPU and GPU. The mode also offers lowered audio latency on AirPods and doubled bluetooth sampling rate on Xbox and PS controllers.

The 13-inch Air has received a $100 price cut.
