Apple Watch X renders reveal slimmer case, magnetic band-attachment system
Apple is reportedly planning a significant revamp of its smartwatch line-up this year. YouTuber Sam Kohl, known for his detailed Apple product reviews on his channel AppleTrack, has partnered with graphic designer @ConceptCentral to create visual representations of the potential design. The forthcoming model, potentially named Apple Watch X, is expected to feature an updated design, enhanced health monitoring capabilities, and a new band attachment system.
Slimmer build and magnetic bands
The renders suggest that the Apple Watch X could be 10-15% thinner than previous models. The Digital Crown is expected to remain, with a potential addition of an Action Button similar to the one on the Apple Watch Ultra. The most significant design change could be a new magnetic band system, which might make older bands incompatible but could also allow for a slimmer design and additional features.

OLED technology and extended life
While earlier rumors suggested the use of microLED displays, budget constraints make the usage of OLED technology more likely. The new OLED panel is expected to be brighter and more energy-efficient, possibly leading to an extended battery life—a frequent concern among Apple Watch users. This shift in display technology could significantly enhance the user experience.
New health monitoring features on the horizon
Health monitoring has always been a central feature of the Apple Watch. The Watch X could be the first to include blood pressure tracking. However, the addition of blood oxygen monitoring remains uncertain due to ongoing patent disagreements. Sleep apnea monitoring could also be a new feature introduced in this model, further enhancing its health tracking capabilities.
