Apple Watch 3 Cellular now available via Jio and Airtel
Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) variant is now up for grabs on the Airtel and Jio websites as well as Reliance Digital and Jio outlets (for Jio customers only). Notably, the Series 3 Edition variant is currently available on Jio network only while the Regular and Nike+ variants of the Apple wearable can be purchased on both Jio and Airtel. Here's more.
Cashback offer with ICICI credit cards on both Airtel, Jio
As for launch offers, both Airtel and Jio customers can avail an additional cashback of Rs. 5,000 on payment through ICICI Credit EMI transactions. This offer is available from May 11 to June 10, with a maximum of one transaction per credit card.
Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular starts Rs. 39,080 onwards
The entry-level Aluminum case model with Sport Band is priced at Rs. 39,080 and Rs. 41,120 for the 38mm and 42mm case sizes respectively. The 38mm and 42mm Aluminum case with Nike Sport Band will cost Rs. 39,130 and Rs. 41,180 respectively. The high-end Apple Watch Series 3 Edition model is priced at Rs. 1,18,030 for 38mm case and Rs. 1,22,090 for 42mm variant.
Apple Watch is compatible with these iPhone models only
The Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular is compatible with iPhone SE, iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 6S/6S Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus, and iPhone X models. The watch would be running watchOS 4.3 and your iPhone should be on iOS version 11.3 or above.
Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular uses an e-SIM for connections
The Apple Watch Series 3 comes with a cellular connection, and through an e-SIM it lets users make calls and send messages. You can also stream music and receive app notifications even if your phone is not nearby. Moreover, this waterproof smartwatch also comes with Siri- Apple's smart assistant, which can perform tasks like setting reminder or providing navigation instructions.
The watch is waterproof and can track fitness activity
The Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular comes with 16GB onboard storage as against 8GB on the GPS-only model, which is already available in India. It runs the watchOS 4 and comes with sensors that can track activities like walking, hiking, climbing, and heart rate. Other specs include dual-core S3 processor, W2 wireless chip, water resistance up to 50m, heart rate sensor, and barometric altimeter.
