Vision Pro headset to finally get Apple Intelligence features
What's the story
Apple is finally bringing its advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities into the Vision Pro, as part of the upcoming visionOS 2.4 update.
The enhancement will include a combination of existing Apple Intelligence features and a new one called 'Create Memory Movie.'
The latter is specifically designed for the headset, with the goal of making it a one-of-a-kind device for reliving memories.
New addition
'Create Memory Movie': A unique feature for reliving memories
The 'Create Memory Movie' feature is built into the Photos app on the Vision Pro.
All you have to do is give a description or voice prompt and Apple's AI will look for a photo or video that best matches the description provided.
This "memory movie" can then be displayed on a large virtual screen or in a virtual environment, making the experience of reliving old times even better.
Enhanced communication
AI writing tools and smart replies coming to Vision Pro
The visionOS 2.4 update will also bring AI writing tools with ChatGPT to the Vision Pro.
With this, users will be able to dictate memos/emails, create bulleted summaries, or adjust the tone of a draft using AI.
Smart replies are also being added to visionOS, allowing users to automatically respond to messages with just a tap through Apple Intelligence.
Creative tools
Apple Intelligence introduces Genmoji and Image Playground
The next update will also bring features such as Genmoji and Image Playground, an image generator based on user prompts.
Vision Pro users will also get priority notifications and summaries along with Image Wand, a tool that refines images from rough sketches.
The Photos app will support natural language search, making the Vision Pro experience even better when finding images in the gallery.
