Apple Mac Studio arrives with M4 Max, M3 Ultra chips
What's the story
Apple has announced the latest iteration of its Mac Studio, which comes in two distinct versions.
The base model is powered by the M4 Max chip, while the higher-end variant comes with an M3 Ultra processor.
Both models are available for pre-order on Apple's website. The base trim starts at ₹2.15 lakh and will be up for grabs from March 12 onward.

What about M4 Max Mac Studio?
Apple touts the M4 Max Mac Studio as "up to 3.5x faster" than its predecessor, the original M1 Max version.
It features a 14-to-16-core CPU and a powerful 32-to-40-core GPU.
Notably, this model offers an impressive range of RAM options, starting at 36GB (up from 32GB in the previous model) and going up to a whopping 128GB.

M3 Ultra Mac Studio: A beast of a machine
The M3 Ultra Mac Studio is built for performance. It comes with up to 32 cores, 24 of which are performance cores—"50% more than any previous Ultra chip," Apple said.
The GPU comes with a base configuration of 60 cores and can be maxed out at an impressive 80 cores.
For machine learning and AI workloads, it packs a powerful 32-core Neural Engine.
Upgrades
Enhanced RAM and storage options
The M3 Ultra version of the Studio starts with a whopping 96GB of RAM, which can be expanded to an insane 512GB. That's enough to run some of the biggest local AI models.
The internal storage also gets an upgrade, starting at 1TB but expandable up to an impressive 16TB.
