From iPad to iPhone: Everything Apple will launch next year
What's the story
Apple is expected to launch a slew of new products next year including its new flagship iPhones and a low-cost handset that will debut as iPhone SE 2.
Additionally, the company is also likely to unveil a new iPad Pro with 3D cameras, a new 13-inch MacBook with Magic Keyboard, Apple Watch Series 6, and possibly a pair of smart glasses.
Here's our roundup.
Flagship phones
Product #1: iPhone 12 series
According to reports and rumors, Apple will launch three OLED iPhones in 2020. They will come in 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch screen sizes and at least one of these models will be a notch-less iPhone.
The next-generation iPhone models are also touted to support 5G connectivity and are likely to pack a new 3D camera that can scan the environment using built-in lasers.
Low-cost model
Product #2: iPhone SE 2
Apple is also working on a low-cost iPhone SE 2 model that is expected to come with the flagship A13 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and a 4.7-inch LCD display.
The upcoming handset will be offered in silver, space grey, and red color options. It will be priced at $399 (or roughly Rs. 28,700).
Flagship tablet
Product #3: 2020 iPad Pro
Further, Apple is also expected to upgrade its existing flagship iPad Pro. The premium tablet will come with a dual camera setup and a 3D sensor that will help offer newer augmented reality experiences.
The new model will retain the existing design while offering a new chipset. Interestingly, we could also see an iPad Pro model with 5G support as well.
New laptop
A new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Magic Keyboard
Alongside the new iPhones and iPad, the tech giant is working on a 13-inch MacBook Pro with the Magic Keyboard that recently debuted on the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
Apple might shrink the bezels to pack a 14-inch display in the same form factor as the 13-inch model and offer faster Intel CPUs, higher RAM and storage options, a bigger battery, and improved speakers.
Other products
A new tracking device and Apple Watch Series 6
If Apple will follow its tradition, we should see Watch Series 6 sometime in September next year. At present, not much is known about the premium wearable but it will offer faster performance, improved water resistance, and sleep tracking capabilities.
The company is also working on a Tile-like tracker that could be attached to personal belongings in order to track their locations.
New category
Apple's first-ever smart glasses
Apple is expected to launch its first-ever smart glasses early next year, according to reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. However, some claim an AR-centric wearable will arrive in 2021-22 while the smart glasses will release later in 2023.
Further, the company could also introduce a cheaper HomePod smart speaker as well as a new subscription bundle that'll include Apple TV+, Apple News+, Arcade, and Music.
