Apple may launch over-ear headphones in March
Apple is expected to launch a pair of new over-ear headphones as early as next month, according to placeholder listings found in Target's product database. The listings suggest that the upcoming headphones will be called "AirPods (X Generation)" and will be available in three different colors. The listings also reveal that the new product will be priced at $399 (approximately Rs. 28,750).
Will they be called StudioPods?
A little details about Apple's over-ear headphones
So far, Apple's over-ear headphones have been kept under the wraps with no renders or leaks coming our way. However, we expect it to have a design similar to the likes of Beats Solo 3, Sony WH-1000XM3, and Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. The new headphones should also come with AirPods Pro-like features including Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, Adaptive Equalizer, and Siri support.
When will these Apple headphones be launched?
According to Apple Insider, products with a placeholder generally "ship within a month, and sometimes as soon as a week following initial appearance in the system." Hence, we can expect Apple to announce the headphones by March.
Apple is also working to launch iPhone SE 2, AirTags
Meanwhile, Apple is also expected to launch a new low-cost iPhone SE 2 model sometime around March-end. The handset is tipped to cost $399 and come with an iPhone 8-like design, Touch ID, and A13 flagship chipset. Separately, the tech giant is also working to launch location-tracking AirTags that can be attached to personal belongings and help you track their locations using your iPhone.
