Apple's new high-end, over-the-ear headphones to feature noise-cancellation
The high-end, over-the-ear headphones that Apple has been working on will feature noise-canceling capabilities as well, according to reports. With the noise-cancellation feature, the headphones will compete with big brands like Bose and Beats by Dre (which is owned by Apple itself). The wireless headphones are expected to be ready by the end of 2018.
The new wireless headphones will be better than AirPods
Earlier, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had revealed that the company was working on a new pair of wireless headphones. This came after the success of Apple's first wireless earbuds called AirPods. Now we know why Kuo had said that the new headphones will feature the same convenience of the AirPods with wireless pairing, but will have better sound quality.
Take the headphone's release time with a pinch of salt
Apple has been working on the headphones on and off for the last one year. Even though the company plans to launch the headphones by year-end, development challenges like with the HomePod smart speaker might push back its release, reports said. It is also possible that the design of the headphones is overhauled or that even the entire project is scrapped.
The headphone is not going to be affordable for sure
The AirPods cost $159, and the noise-canceling headphones will supposedly sound better than them. Further, the HomePod, costing $349, is priced higher than other smart speakers in the market like Sonos and Amazon. Thus, the new headphones are expected to come at a premium price.
