Apple may launch its new 16-inch MacBook Pro today
Just a few days after launching Apple TV+ around the globe, Apple might unveil another fancy product - a new MacBook Pro. Yes, reports indicate that the company is gearing up to showcase the 16-inch version of MacBook Pro as soon as today, which is November 13. Here's all we know about the upcoming Apple machine.
MacBook Pro with a large, high-resolution display
Multiple people familiar with Apple's plans have told Bloomberg's Mark Gurman - who has historically been correct about upcoming gadgets - that the company will launch the new MacBook Pro on November 13. The sources didn't say much about the design but they noted it would come with a high-resolution 16-inch panel, a new scissor-switch keyboard, instead of the unreliable butterfly one.
Company might offer ultra-thin bezels
Apple will reportedly incorporate the larger display on the form factor of a 15-inch MacBook Pro by cutting down the bezels. This screen is expected to be a QHD+ LCD (3072x1920 resolution), which would be the largest and sharpest one ever offered on a MacBook.
What else the new MacBook Pro will have on offer
Among other things, the new MacBook Pro will also come with an expected specifications' bump. As part of this, it may ship with Intel's latest Coffee Lake or 10th-generation Ice Lake processors. A recent leak had indicated that the new MacBook will also come with a 96W USB-C charger, a minor upgrade over the 87W adaptor of the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
No word on the pricing yet
While there is no word on the pricing of the new MacBook Pro, speculation is rife that this model will replace the 15-inch one, by being offered at the same price. It might become available this week but do note that this won't be the last Mac release of the year. A tipster claimed that the redesigned Mac Pro might be released in December.
