Apple's iPhone X has a thing for 'problems'
According to latest reports, Apple's iPhone X users are having trouble in answering phone calls owing to a frozen screen that won't turn on for several seconds after a call comes in. Apple has confirmed that it is looking into these problems. However, serious complications have now mushroomed around this issue with users failing to disconnect their calls or end up making emergency calls.
First incidents were reported in late January
iPhone X mired in problems
Recent complaints by iPhone X users, first reported by Piunikaweb, can be summarised in three major concerns - Incoming calls freezing screens and that they can't be hung up Inadvertent dialling of emergency services (by holding the lock and volume up botton that users accidentally press in order to reboot the phone) Inability to end apps during a call.
How to address these issues
Until Apple addresses the bug through an update, installing a fresh version of the latest iOS might just help you. For the other issue of unintentionally dialling up emergency services, there is a temporary work-around (though we don't recommend this) Settings > Emergency SOS > Auto Call > Off When you pay $1000 for a device, you expect it to atleast perform basic functions.
