Apple M1 is built on a 5nm process technology with 16 billion transistors. It has an octa-core CPU and an octa-core GPU which delivers up to 3.5x faster CPU performance, up to 6x faster GPU performance, and can render complex 3D scenes. Apple Neural Engine can provide up to 15x faster machine learning as well as improved video analysis, voice recognition, and image processing. It is also equipped with Apple’s latest Image Signal Processor (ISP), which enables high video quality, noise reduction, and improved auto white-balance. The SoC also has an in-built Security Enclave and an Apple-designed Thunderbolt controller.
