Apple introduces first 8-core MacBook Pro, the fastest MacBook ever
Apple has updated its MacBook Pro with the new 8th and 9th-generation Intel Core processors, bringing octa-core chipsets to MacBook Pro for the first time. With this, the 2019 MacBook Pro now becomes the fastest Mac notebook ever, delivering 50% faster performance than a quad-core MacBook Pro and 40% more performance than a 6-core MacBook Pro. 15-inch MacBook Pro now offers Turbo Boost upto 5.0GHz
Apple has introduced the new chipsets on 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and 15-inch MacBook Pro models. The updated 15-inch notebook is now powered by faster 6 and 8-core Intel Core processors, delivering Turbo Boost upto 5.0GHz. On the other hand, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar comes with improved quad-core processors with Turbo Boost upto 4.7GHz.
Apple says new chipsets will boost performance for all workloads
Apple has also mentioned how these new chipsets will boost performance for all pro-level workloads. Video editors, for example, can edit upto 11 simultaneous multicam streams of 4K video in Final Cut Pro X. Likewise, 3D designers can render scenes upto two times faster in Maya Arnold whereas photographers can apply complex edits and filters upto 75% faster in Photoshop.
New MacBooks retain all the other features of 2018 models
Apart from the under-the-hood upgrades, the new MacBooks offer upto 32GB RAM, upto 4TB of SSD storage, and Radeon Pro discrete graphics with 4GB of video RAM. The new notebooks also feature a Retina display with True Tone technology, Apple T2 security chip, Touch ID biometric authentication, Force Touch trackpad, stereo speakers, improved butterfly keyboards, and Thunderbolt 3 ports.
Pricing and availability
The new and updated 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is priced at Rs. 1,59,900 while the 15-inch MacBook Pro now costs Rs. 1,99,900. These notebooks will be available in India via Apple Authorised Resellers later this week.
