Apple could announce its cheapest iPhone on March 31
We know Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE 2 (or iPhone 9) sometime next month, and if the latest rumor is anything to go by, the new low-cost iPhone could go official by March-end. According to iPhone-Ticker, Apple will host an event at the end of March (most likely on March 31) where it will unveil the much-anticipated iPhone SE 2.
Sales will start from April 3
Alongside leaking the launch date, the publication has also claimed that iPhone SE 2 will go on sale from April 3 onwards. It notes that all the information has been sourced "directly from the Apple environment and have no reason to doubt the reliability."
We already know a bit about the iPhone SE 2
According to a barrage of leaks and reports we have seen over the past couple of months, the upcoming iPhone SE 2 will retain the outdated design of the iPhone 8. Ironically, Apple is bringing back thick bezels and the Touch ID home button to take on Android rivals that sport tall, bezel-less screens with fingerprint sensors.
And, here's a look at iPhone SE 2's expected specifications
The iPhone SE 2 is expected to come with a 4.7-inch HD+ LCD screen and will be offered in Space Gray, Silver, and Red color schemes. It will be backed by an A13 Bionic chipset, the same flagship processor that powers iPhone 11 range. Further, the handset is expected to get 3GB RAM, 64GB/128GB of non-expandable storage, and will run on iOS 13.
iPhone SE 2 could be priced at $399
According to rumors, the iPhone SE 2 is expected to be launched at a starting price of $399 (around Rs. 28,500). Notably, this is the same price at which the original iPhone SE made its debut in March 2016.
