Ahead of phone's launch, Apple iPhone SE 2's cases leaked
Apple is working to launch its budget-friendly iPhone SE 2 next month, and as is the case with every new handset, accessory makers are already busy creating cases for the upcoming device. Totallee, a US-based case maker, has just opened pre-orders for its iPhone SE 2 cases, basing the design on leaked schematics and renders that we have seen in the last few weeks.
iPhone SE 2 could be released by March-end
According to Totallee's listing, the iPhone SE 2 cases will become available for shipping from March 24. Perhaps, this could be the date around when Apple plans to release its upcoming low-cost handset. After all, the iPhone SE 2 (which is also being referred to as iPhone 9) is tipped to be launched sometime in mid-March, i.e., around March 15.
SE 2 will look like iPhone 8, confirms case design
Further, the iPhone SE 2's case design confirms that the handset will retain the design of the iPhone 8. It will have a conventional rectangular screen with chunky bezels, a rounded metal frame, and an all-glass body that will bear a single rear camera. The handset will come with a Touch ID home button for secure biometric authentication instead of Face ID.
What else do we know about iPhone SE 2
According to leaks, the iPhone SE 2 will come with a 4.7-inch HD+ LCD screen and will be offered in Space Gray, Silver, and Red color options. It will be powered by an Apple-designed A13 Bionic chipset, the same flagship processor that is present on the top-end iPhone 11 models. The handset is expected to get 3GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of non-expandable storage.
It is expected to be priced around $400
The iPhone SE 2 is expected to be launched at a starting price of $399 (around Rs. 28,500). Notably, this is the same price at which the original iPhone SE made its debut in March 2016.
