Brown or gold? All about iPhone 16 Pro's new color
The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have been the subject of recent leaks, with initial images suggesting a unique brownish color. This bronze-like shade sparked mixed reactions among Apple enthusiasts. However, a new leak by an anonymous tipster indicates that the actual color will be closer to gold rather than the previously assumed copper hue. The new shade is said to resemble Sahara desert sand and has been dubbed "Desert Titanium" by some tech analysts.
'Desert Titanium' to replace 'Blue Titanium'
The "Desert Titanium" shade is expected to replace last year's "Blue Titanium," joining White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Natural Titanium in the color lineup for the iPhone 16 Pro range. This year's Black Titanium is rumored to be significantly darker, while Natural Titanium is anticipated to have a more grayish finish. The new gold variant may also potentially replace the rumored Rose option.
Standard iPhone 16 to feature dual camera
The leaked images also reveal design changes for the non-Pro models. The iPhone 16 is expected to feature a dual camera aligned vertically, a design element not seen since the iPhone 12 from 2020. Additionally, the square camera island that has been a staple since the iPhone 11 over half a decade ago, appears to be absent in these new non-Pro models.
iPhone 16 Pro to run on A18 Pro chip
The iPhone 16 Pro is tipped to run on the A18 Pro chip and offer a display upgrade from 6.1-inch to 6.27-inch. It is also expected to feature a 3,577mAh battery, with potential for 40W wired charging support and 20W wireless charging via MagSafe. Apple is anticipated to unveil the new iPhone series sometime in September, although no official date has been announced yet.
