Leak reveals Apple iPhone 16's design upgrades
Apple's iPhone 16 series is expected to launch in approximately five months, and the tech industry is already buzzing with anticipation for the forthcoming iPhones. Noted tipster Sonny Dickson has now leaked images of the dummy models, revealing potential design changes. The new series will include four variants, iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max, each with distinct features and improvements over their predecessors.
Non-Pro variants to feature a vertical camera island
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will feature vertical pill-shaped camera modules, as per latest leaks. The display sizes of these models will likely be similar to their predecessors, with the iPhone 16 having a 6.1-inch display and the iPhone 16 Plus sporting a larger 6.7-inch display. However, the Pro models are set to feature larger displays — the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could potentially have screen sizes of 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch, respectively.
iPhone 16 series to be powered by A18 Pro processor
All four models in the iPhone 16 series are rumored to be powered by an A18 Pro processor, supporting advanced AI features. The upcoming iOS 18 update is expected to introduce enhancements to built-in apps, Siri's intelligence, and a Safari browsing assistant. The official announcement for iOS 18 is scheduled for June 10, but it will be rolled out after the debut of iPhone 16 series in September.
Spatial video recording to be common across all models
The upcoming iPhone 16 models are expected to feature minimal bezels, an improved screen-to-body ratio, and innovative features like spatial video recording for Vision Pro. All devices in this series are likely to include a USB-C port, an action button, and a Dynamic Island. The Pro models may incorporate premium materials like titanium, while the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to be made of aluminium.
