Apple iPhone 15, 14 models receive ₹10,000 price-cut in India
Apple has announced a significant price reduction for its iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 models in India. This move comes following the launch of the latest iPhone 16 at the company's annual September event. The price cut is now reflected on Apple's official website, where the iPhone 15 is listed at a new price of ₹69,900. This marks a decrease of ₹10,000 from its original launch price last year.
Price adjustment follows customs duty reduction
The price adjustment for the iPhone 15 follows a recent reduction in basic customs duty (BCD) on imported mobile phones and printed circuit board assemblies by the Indian government. This led to Apple lowering the prices of its iPhone 15 series models in India. The most significant price cut was seen by the iPhone 15 Pro Max, while the standard iPhone 15's price was reduced to ₹79,600.
Revised prices for different iPhone 15 variants
The revised pricing for the iPhone 15 now starts at ₹69,900 for the base model with 128GB storage. The higher storage variants of the iPhone 15, specifically the 256GB and 512GB models, are now priced at ₹79,900 and ₹99,900 respectively. This price reduction is not limited to just one model but extends across various models within the iPhone 15 lineup in India.
Price cut extends to other iPhone models as well
The price reduction also impacts the iPhone 15 Plus, which is now available at ₹79,900, down from its previous price of ₹89,900. Additionally, older models like the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have experienced a price drop. The standard iPhone 14 is now retailing for ₹59,900 after a reduction of ₹10,000 while its larger sibling, the iPhone 14 Plus now costs ₹69,900.
New prices effective across all authorized Apple resellers
The revised prices are effective immediately across all authorized Apple resellers in India. This includes the Apple online store, physical Apple Store locations, and partner retail outlets. As the festive season approaches, consumers can anticipate further price drops on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart through exchange offers and bank discounts.
