Apple iPhone 12 Pro models to sport 6GB RAM: Report
Apple's next-generation premium flagships, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, will sport 6GB of RAM, according to Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis and his associates. The tech giant is expected to launch a slew of smartphones next year, and Barclays believes that these models will come with 5G support as well. Here's all about Apple's plans.
iPhone 12 Pro models will be the fastest iPhones ever
Traditionally, iPhones have always been offering lesser RAM than Android phones. But they perform as fast as some of the best Android phones because of how iOS has been designed in sync with the hardware. Hence, with iOS 14 likely to be bug-free and iPhone 12 Pro models getting 6GB of RAM, they look primed to be one of the fastest/smartest smartphones of 2020.
The premium iPhones will also get 5G support
Barclays said that iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will support 5G, meaning they will be the first Apple devices to offer support for the next-generation cellular network. Notably, this information is in line with the previous reports wherein reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had claimed that the Cupertino giant would launch its first 5G iPhone in 2020 and would use a Qualcomm modem.
2020 iPhones to feature newer designs, 3D cameras
Further, as per reports, Apple will launch three OLED flagship iPhones in September next year, departing from the current line-up of two premium OLED iPhones and a lower-cost LCD model. One of the premium models will sport a notch-less design while the other two will get smaller display cut-outs. Lastly, these iPhones could also pack a rear-facing 3D sensing camera.
Apple is also working on low-cost iPhone SE 2 model
Separately, several reports have claimed that Apple is working on a low-cost iPhone SE 2 that will have the flagship A13 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and an LCD display. The upcoming handset will be offered in silver, space grey, and red color options. It is expected to be priced at $399 (or roughly Rs. 28,700).
