Apple Intelligence to support German, Korean, and Italian in 2025
Apple has announced plans to extend the language support of its artificial intelligence (AI) feature set, Apple Intelligence. Initially launched in US English in October, the tech giant aims to include German, Korean, Italian, Portuguese, Vietnamese "and others" within the next year. This expansion comes just days after the debut of iPhone 16 series — handsets designed specifically for AI capabilities.
It will support localized English
In addition to the initial languages, Apple Intelligence will also support localized English in the UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand by December. The company has further plans to include India and Singapore in its language support roster next year. This move is part of Apple's broader strategy to make its AI features more accessible to a global audience.
Apple Intelligence's delayed AI features
Despite the iPhone 16 series being marketed for its compatibility with Apple Intelligence, the phones will not include AI features at launch. These capabilities are set to be introduced later this year, but will only encompass a limited range of the features that Apple has proposed. The full rollout of these facilities is expected in 2025, indicating a gradual implementation process for Apple's AI capabilities.
Future language support
Looking ahead, Apple has revealed plans to extend its AI feature set's language support even further. The tech giant intends to include Chinese, Japanese, French, and Spanish in its lineup next year.
