You won't get any Apple stickers with iPhone 16 series
Apple's iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models will not include the traditional Apple stickers in their packaging. The company disclosed this information to Apple Store teams earlier this week through a message, which was also seen by 9to5Mac. However, customers who still wish to receive these stickers can request them at the time of purchase from an Apple Store.
Stickers unavailable through 3rd-party retailers, home delivery
The option to request Apple stickers will only be available to customers, purchasing directly from an Apple Store. Those who choose to buy their iPhone 16 through third-party retailers or carrier partners, will not have access to these stickers. Similarly, stickers won't be included in orders for home delivery of the new iPhone models.
Environmental goals drive packaging changes
The decision to remove stickers from the iPhone 16 packaging is part of Apple's broader environmental objectives. The tech giant aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, and has already made significant strides toward this goal with its latest iPhone models. The company has proudly announced that the packaging for both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro is now entirely fiber-based, aligning with its commitment to eliminate all plastic from its packaging by next year.
Sticker removal not a 1st for Apple
The removal of stickers from the iPhone 16's packaging is not an isolated incident. Earlier this year, when the Apple Vision Pro was launched in February, buyers noticed that there were no stickers included in the box. The same was true for the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models that were unveiled in May, further indicating a consistent trend toward more eco-friendly packaging practices by Apple.
