Nokia 2.2 receives Android 11 update with March security patch
HMD Global has started rolling out the Android 11 update for its Nokia 2.2 model. As per the changelog, the firmware brings in all the goodies of the latest OS including chat bubbles, one-time permissions, and security and privacy fixes with Google Play system upgrade. It also bumps up the Android security patch level to March 2021. Here are more details.

The Android 11 update for the Nokia 2.2 carries version number V3.270 (in Indonesia) and has a download size of around 1.2GB. The update is currently seeding in 24 countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sweden. Up to 10% of the approved markets will receive the update immediately, 50% by April 15 and 100% by April 17.
Nokia 2.2 sports an HD+ LCD display
As far as its specifications are concerned, the Nokia 2.2 features a waterdrop notch design with a prominent bottom bezel and a plastic body. On the rear, the capsule-shaped module houses a single camera. The handset bears a 5.71-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) IPS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is available in Tungsten Black and Steel color options.
It has a 5MP selfie camera
The Nokia 2.2 packs a single 13MP (f/2.2) camera on the back along with an LED flash and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front. The rear camera offers features like HDR, panorama, and supports 1080p video recording at 30fps.
The device is backed by a Helio A22 chipset
The Nokia 2.2 draws power from a MediaTek Helio A22 processor, paired with up to 3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of expandable storage. Under the hood, it packs a 3,000mAh battery and is now upgradeable to Android 11. In terms of connectivity, the device offers support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, a headphone jack, and a micro-USB port.
