Samsung rolls out Android 11 update for Galaxy A31 handset
Samsung has started releasing its Android-11'>Android 11 update for the Galaxy A31 model. As per the changelog, the firmware brings in a refreshed UI, one-time permissions, a conversation section and media player widget in the notifications area, location data removal from images, improved Dynamic Lockscreen options, and parental controls, among other features. The Android 11 update for the Galaxy A31 carries version number A315NKSU1CUD3 and has a download size of around 2.03GB. It is currently seeding in South Korea and may reach other markets in the coming weeks. To check manually, go to Settings> Software update.
The Galaxy A31 features a Full-HD+ display
Samsung Galaxy A31 sports a waterdrop notch display with a prominent bottom bezel and an under-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it houses a quad camera setup. The handset bears a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9. In India, it is offered in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, and Prism Crush White color options.
It boasts of a 20MP selfie camera
Samsung Galaxy A31 comes with a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/2.0) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 5MP (f/2.4) macro shooter, and a 5MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 20MP (f/2.2) front-facing snapper.
It is equipped with a Helio P65 processor
Samsung Galaxy A31 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (in India). Under the hood, it packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support and is now upgradeable to Android 11. For connectivity, the device offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
