Amazon's Echo Wall Clock visualizes your Alexa timers: Here's how
Back in September, Amazon had announced Echo Wall Clock as a smart home device capable of adding visual elements to your Alexa timers. It enhances the smart home experience and is now up for pre-orders in the US. It looks just like any other regular clock but syncs up with Alexa to show how many minutes/seconds are left on the set timer. Here's more.
How Echo Wall Clock works?
The Echo Wall Clock lacks a microphone but takes user commands by pairing up with an Alexa-powered Echo device. This means whenever you'll ask Alexa to set a timer, the remaining time will be displayed on the Wall Clock by lighting up a few of its 60 LEDs - each located as minute mark around the edge of its face.
LEDs will update automatically
As time runs out, the LEDs change to show how much time you have on your hands. This can come in handy when you have to keep an eye on the available time while performing some task or playing a game. Not to mention, you can even set multiple timers and visualize them on the clock at the same time.
Also, it adjusts daylight saving time
Along with timers, Amazon's 10-inch Wall Clock also handles daylight saving time automatically. With this capability, you won't have to adjust the clock ahead/behind the standard time.
When can you buy this Echo Wall Clock?
In the US, Echo Wall Clock is up for pre-orders at $30 via Amazon. It is out-of-stock at the moment but is expected to return on December 24. As for India availability, there's no word from Amazon, but we can expect the e-commerce giant to launch the clock, considering the growing presence of Echo products in the country.
