Amazon India is offering a huge discount on Xiaomi's Redmi 5 smartphone. The device's base storage variant of 2GB/16GB is priced at Rs. 7,999, but the e-commerce giant has an exchange offer on that model that reduces its price down by Rs. 7,165. So you can essentially exchange your old smartphone for a new Redmi 5 at Rs. 834.
Replace Redmi 5 within 10 days if found defective
However, potential buyers should note that exchange offers vary based on which phone they want to exchange the Redmi 5 with. Further, Amazon is also providing buyers with a 10-day window to replace the phone if it is found defected. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes in three storage variants of 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB, and 4GB/64GB, priced at Rs. 7,999, Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 10,999, respectively.
Jio users can get 100GB of free 4G data
The phone is bundled with a Rs. 2,200 cashback from Reliance Jio. Jio users will also be given 100GB of 4G data on buying the phone. Other than this, buyers can avail a 5% instant cashback up to Rs. 500 from SBI on the purchase of the phone. The phone is available in four color options of Gold, Black, Rose Gold, and Blue.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a 3,300mAh non-removable battery. The dual-SIM phone features a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and runs the MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat.
