Amazon's new Echo smart speakers available for pre-orders in India
Alongside a host of new Alexa-powered products, Amazon has announced updated Echo devices at its hardware event in Seattle. And interestingly, the e-commerce giant is bringing five of these new Echo speakers to India. The Echo Dot, Echo Plus, and Echo Sub are currently up for pre-orders on Amazon while Echo Show and Echo Input will arrive early next year. Here's a sneak peek.
Amazon Echo Dot (3rd generation)
The updated Echo Dot gets a new fabric finish with rounded edges and retains the four-button control layout along with Bluetooth and AUX support. It is 70% louder, offers improved sound, and can be paired with another Echo speaker for stereo sound. Priced at Rs. 4,499, the new Dot is available in Charcoal, Heather Gray, and Sandstone colors.
The new Amazon Echo Plus
The updated Echo Plus also features a new fabric design and comes equipped with seven microphones and a temperature sensor. It powered by a 3-inch neodymium woofer and a 0.8-inch tweeter which allow the speaker to offer stronger bass and crispier sound. Now available for pre-ordering, the new Echo Plus is priced at Rs. 14,999 and comes in Heather, Charcoal Gray, and Sandstone colors.
Amazon Echo Sub
The Echo Sub features a cloth-wrapped cylindrical design and packs a 6-inch down-firing woofer. You can pair this with one or two Echo speakers for a 1.1 setup (one speaker, one woofer) or 2.1 stereo configuration (two speakers, one woofer). Priced at Rs. 12,999, the Sub is available for pre-ordering but will be shipped in November.
Amazon Echo Show and Echo Input
The newly announced Echo Show and Echo Input will come to India early next year. The Echo Input comes with microphone support and allows you to convert any speaker into an Alexa-powered smart speaker. The second generation Echo Show now features a 10-inch full-HD screen, a front camera, an improved speaker, and is of course Alexa-powered.
