Everything to know about Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL
Google is working to launch its most-advanced smartphones till date, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, sometime in fall this year. So far, several leaks and official teasers have confirmed the new design changes and potentially breakthrough features, which is how these phones will take on the likes of iPhone 11 and Galaxy Note 10. Here's all you need to know about them.
Firstly, here's how the Google Pixel 4-series will look like
According to leaked renders and official teaser images, the Pixel 4 series will feature slim bezels on three sides and a sizeable top bezel that will house a bunch of sensors and cameras. On the back, the dual-tone matte+gloss design has been replaced with a clean monochrome glass back and a metal frame. The rear panel will also house a multi-lens camera setup.
Pixel 4-series to feature QHD+ screens
According to leaks, the Pixel 4 will come with a 5.8-inch display while the Pixel 4 XL is set to offer a 6.4-inch screen. Notably, both the handsets will have a QHD+ resolution.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
On the rear, the Pixel 4 series will house a multi-lens camera setup which is likely to offer a standard lens, a 16MP telephoto lens, and another 3D ToF or spectral/flicker sensor. Up front, both flagships are likely to offer a single standard wide sensor instead of the standard+ultra wide-angle combination that was seen on the Pixel 3 series.
Motion Sense and Face Unlock
Further, Google also confirmed that Motion Sense and Face Unlock features are coming to the Pixel 4 series. Motion Sense is a Soli radar-powered feature that uses software algorithms and hardware sensor to recognize touch-free gestures. The flagship phone will also come with IR-camera based Face Unlock feature that will use the Soli radar to offer a seamless unlocking experience.
Everything else we know about Pixel 4 series
Like other flagships of 2019, the upcoming Pixel 4 series will be powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset. Further, we expect to see upto 8GB RAM, upto 256GB of storage, Active Edge sensors, and bigger batteries. On the software side, the upcoming flagships will debut the revamped Google Assistant as well as the latest Android Q mobile platform.
