Nokia 8 gets Pro Camera mode via an update
Back in 2017, HMD Global-owned Nokia had launched the Nokia 8. Since then, the company had released several firmware updates to fix bugs and add security to the phone. However, as a camera-centric phone, the Nokia 8 lacked a Pro Camera mode, but only until now. HMD Global has started to roll-out the feature to all Nokia 8 handsets. Here are the details.
Nokia explains why the update took time
Here's what the Nokia 8 Pro Camera mode will offer
The new Pro Camera mode on Nokia 8 offers features such as manual controls over white balance, focus, ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation with a ring-style interface for controls. HMD Global said that the new intuitive controls will show how adjustments change your images in real time- something similar to the manual mode on the Nokia Lumia smartphones.
All ZEISS lenses-based Nokia phones to get the new feature
The Nokia 8 will get the Pro Camera mode via firmware update with version number 4.88B which is over 600MB in size. Notably, the new feature is already present in some Nokia smartphones, but it is expected to arrive for all models with ZEISS lenses.
