Acer's most-powerful gaming desktop launched in India
Expanding its portfolio of gaming desktops, Acer has launched its most-powerful gaming desktop yet - the Predator Orion 9000 in India. The Predator Orion 9000 is being touted as India's first gaming desktop to feature Intel's Core i9 Extreme Processor and Optane Memory. The desktop has been priced at Rs. 3,19,999 and is available via Acer's exclusive stores and Croma stores. Here's more.
The Predator Orion 9000: Specifications
This premium desktop features Intel's Core i9 Extreme Edition 18-core processor paired with up to 128GB quad-channel DDR4 memory and 2TB hard disk. Acer says users will be able to configure their system with two Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards in a SLI configuration or up to four AMD Radeon Vega GPUs in CrossFire, so as to enhance its performance further.
Catchy exteriors complement the impressive internals
The Acer Predator Orion 9000 desktop features black-and-silver spacecraft-like exteriors which complement its user-customizable RGB lighting along the sides of the front bezel. For easy mobility, the desktop comes with two handles at the top and wheels at the rear which are covered with a carbon fiber pattern.
Thanks to IceTunnel 2.0, desktop heating shouldn't be a concern
Acer has introduced its proprietary IceTunnel 2.0 technology to keep the system temperature down. IceTunnel 2.0 is an airflow management solution that separates the system into thermal zones to maximize cooling via individual airflow tunnels.
Support for multiple ports and slots
The desktop includes two USB 3.1 Generation 2 ports (one Type-C and one Type-A), eight USB 3.1 Generation 1 ports (one Type-C and seven Type-A) and two USB 2.0 ports (Type-A). The Predator Orion 9000 also supports three M.2 slots which allow the user to increase the power, speed and capabilities of the PC. It has four PCIe x16 slots for video cards.
