Airtel has revamped its TV app, introducing a new design, better segregation of content, and a darker theme. The telco has also rebranded the app to Airtel Xstream, the same name it uses for the web version of Airtel TV. The updated app is available for all Airtel users via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Here's all about it.
A look at the content available on Airtel Xstream
The Airtel Xstream app offers more than 350 live TV channels across categories like infotainment, news, entertainment, music, sports, movies and so on. It supports multiple languages like English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and others. The service also offers content from some popular streaming platforms such as HOOQ, ZEE5, ALTBalaji, Eros Now, YouTube and others.
Here are the benefits of Airtel's Premium subscription
With Airtel Xstream Premium subscription, you get access to all the latest TV shows, movies, live TV and catch-up TV. This subscription is available for all prepaid customers who recharge with Rs. 199 or more, as well as for all postpaid, DTH, and broadband customers.
How to get started with the Airtel Xstream?
Now, if you have an Airtel connection (Prepaid/Postpaid/Broadband/DTH), you can access Airtel Xstream as an app or on the web. To get started, you will have to download the app or visit the website and sign in using your mobile number (OTP verification required). Airtel will then determine the type of your subscription and provide the content available for your subscription plan.
You can use the app across multiple devices
Airtel Xstream app also comes with multi-device access. You can use the app on up to 5 devices with a single log-in. Moreover, there's also a Time Shift feature which allows you to stream live TV shows from the beginning even if you log-in late.
