This AI-written Harry Potter-fanfiction is a masterpiece
We all know how smart Artificial Intelligence is. We've seen AI writing short-novels, songs, editing trailers, and playing games. But its latest creation is nothing short of a masterpiece. It wrote a Harry Potter fanfiction! The unofficial Harry Potter book is, hilariously enough, titled, "Harry Potter and the Portrait of What Looked Like a Large Pile of Ash." New Harry Potter story released by Botnik Studios
New York-based Botnik Studios, an open, augmented content creation platform, fed all seven Harry Potter books written by JK Rowling into its AI-powered predictive text algorithm to generate the book. Botnik released the three-page 13th chapter of the book, titled "The Handsome One" that is entirely created using AI. It can be read on http://www.botnik.org/content/harry-potter.html. It is fun but definitely doesn't match Rowling's class!

Once the AI was trained, it collated all the Harry Potter books' texts after which Botnik's writers picked the best parts and arranged them to make it readable and grammatically correct. They also reportedly wrote some parts to fill the gaps.
Chapter Thirteen: The Handsome One
"The Handsome One" chapter opens with: "The castle grounds snarled with a wave of magically magnified wind. The sky outside was a great black ceiling, which was full of blood." The AI did try to sound like JK Rowling's writing voice; however, it hardly captures her magic. The story is very funny but is also really strange, and contains some hard-to-imagine parts.

In the released chapter, the lead characters Harry, Ron, and Hermione attempt to listen in on Lord Voldemort's Death Eater Army meeting. The new Harry Potter tale was shared earlier this week on Twitter, which has already garnered over 90,000 likes.

The AI, however, managed to create some "gems" in "The Handsome One". The best parts include: "Magic: it was something that Harry Potter thought was very good." "The tall Death Eater was wearing a shirt that said 'Hermione Has Forgotten How to Dance,' so Hermione dipped his face in mud." "'I'm Harry Potter,' Harry began yelling. 'The dark arts better be worried, oh boy!'"
