Acer refreshes Spin 7 as India's first 5G-enabled convertible laptop
Acer has refreshed its Spin 7 model in India with 5G connectivity, making it the country's first 5G-enabled laptop. Priced at Rs. 1.35 lakh, it features a Full-HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Generation-2 5G processor, 512GB of UFS storage, and a 56Whr battery. It is also a fan-less device, meaning there will be no noise despite extensive usage. Here are more details.
The laptop flaunts a 360-degree swivel design
The Acer Spin 7 features a magnesium-aluminium alloy body with a 360-degree swivel hinge design, which allows the display to rotate, as well as a fingerprint reader. It weighs 1.4kg and bears a 14.0-inch Full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) TFT LCD screen with 250-nits of brightness, antibacterial CG, and support for multi-touch gestures. The convertible laptop also houses a 720p HD webcam and stereo speakers.
It offers support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0
For connectivity, the Acer Spin 7 offers support for the 5G network through both sub-6 GHz and mmWave, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G LTE. There are also two USB Type-C ports, a headphone jack, and a Kensington lock.
It is powered by Snapdragon 8cx Generation-2 5G chipset
The Acer Spin 7 draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Generation-2 5G processor, paired with Qualcomm Adreno 685 GPU for graphics, 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 512GB of UFS storage.
