Acer Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop launched for Rs. 2,49,999
Expanding its portfolio of gaming laptops, Acer has launched the high-end Acer Predator Helio 500 in India. The laptop comes in two variants - one with AMD Ryzen 7 2700 which is priced at Rs. 1,99,999 (coming soon in India), and an Intel Core i9 variant which is available at Rs. 2,49,999 via Acer's sales partners. Acer Predator Helio 500: At a glance
The laptop comes with either a 4K Ultra-HD or a full-HD IPS 17.3-inch display with 144Hz refresh rates, NVIDIA G-Sync technology, Intel Optane memory, NVMePCIe SSDs, and upto 64GB of RAM. Further, it is offered in two configurations - one, with 8th-generation Intel Core i9-8950HK processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1070 8GB graphics, and second, with AMD Ryzen7 2700 processor and AMD Vega 56 graphics.
Predator Helios 500 gets RGB Keyboard, dual Thunderbolt 3 ports
The Predator Helios 500 has two Thunderbolt 3 ports and HDMI 2.0 ports which support upto three external monitors. For audio, the laptop gets two speakers and a subwoofer, along with support for Acer TrueHarmony and Waves MAXXAudio technology. Additionally, Helio 500 range gets a backlit RGB keyboard with four-zone lighting and support for upto 16.8 million colors.
The laptop comes with dedicated cooling fans and heat pipes
The Acer Predator Helios 500 gets dual AeroBlade 3D metal fans and five heat pipes that work together to keep the machine cool. Moreover, with PredatorSense app, users can control the fan speed and vitals such as overclocking and lighting, among other functions.
