Acer launches a more powerful variant of Chromebook Spin 13
Taiwanese tech giant Acer has launched a more powerful variant of its Chromebook Spin 13 laptop. The key highlights of the new Chromebook include its QHD+ touchscreen display, Chrome OS, and 8th-generation Intel Core i7 Processor. Notably, the laptop will initially be available in the United States at $1,568 (approximately Rs. 1,08,000). Here is our roundup.

The all-new Acer Chromebook Spin 13 retains the design of the standard model. Hence, it sports a rectangular conventional screen and a backlit keyboard. The laptop comes with 13.5-inch LED display with QHD+ (2256 x 1504 pixels) resolution. Moreover, thanks to its foldable hinge, the 2-in-1 laptop can be used as a regular PC as well as a tablet.

The new Acer Chromebook Spin 13 is powered by the 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, paired with Intel UHD Graphics 620, 16GB DDR3 RAM and 512GB storage. Under the hood, it packs a 3-cell Li-ion battery which offers upto 12 hours of screen time on a single charge. Moreover, the notebook runs on the 64-bit Chrome OS- an operating system by Google.
Connectivity options, audio and other features
In terms of connectivity, the latest Acer Chromebook Spin 13 offers Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2, a USB 3.0 slot, SD card reader, and a couple of jacks for microphone and headphone. Talking about media options, the notebook gets stereo speakers and comes with a web camera which is capable of recording 720p HD videos.
