2019 Suzuki Vitara facelift officially unveiled ahead of launch
Ahead of its market launch, Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled the 2019 Vitara facelift. The flagship SUV is slated to enter the UK markets in September. However, there is no information if Suzuki will introduce the facelifted Vitara in India. The refreshed Vitara gets some design updates, new engines and hi-tech features related to driving assistance. Here's our roundup.
2019 Suzuki Vitara facelift: At a glance
Up front, the refreshed SUV gets a redesigned front grille with vertical chrome slats, revised front bumper, bigger LED DRLs and new headlights. Further, the facelifted Vitara gets a new set of alloys and redesigned LED taillamps. In the cabin, the car features higher-quality materials along with a new instrument cluster which also has a colored display.
Under the hood
The 2019 Vitara will be offered with 1.0-liter and 1.4-liter Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engines instead of the outgoing 1.6-liter unit. The lower-end models are powered by the 1.0-liter engine that churns out 109bhp. These variants will come with an optional Suzuki ALLGRIP four-wheel-drive system available with manual transmission. The top-end variant comes with the 1.4-liter engine that produces 138bhp and 220Nm of peak torque.
Suzuki has also boosted Vitara safety equipment
With the 2019 Vitara facelift, Suzuki has also introduced new hi-tech drive assist features. The top model of the Vitara gets a host of features including dual sensor brake support, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning and assistance, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
