2018 Porsche Macan facelift unveiled, India launch soon
German automaker Porsche has unveiled its 2018 Macan facelift in Shanghai, China. The updated Macan, which happens to be the smaller of the two SUVs produced by Porsche (the other being Cayenne), will arrive in India later this year. The Macan facelift gets significant upgrades in terms of styling and will come fitted with updated technology. Here's our roundup of 2018 Porsche Macan facelift.
2018 Porsche Macan facelift: Inside the cabin
On the inside, the Macan gets a revised cabin with repositioned air vents, an 11-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an optional GT sports steering wheel. In terms of tech, the car now comes with Porsche's Communication Management, a cloud-based Porsche Connect Plus telematics service and an Offroad Precision App that helps record off-road journeys.

Up front, the facelifted Macan gets an overall wider appearance with a redesigned bumper and LED DRLs while the rear remains sleek as its predecessor. However, the rear gets new taillights along with an LED strip that connects the lights for an eye-catching look. The Macan also gets new 20-inch and 21-inch wheels with several customizable options, and four new body color options.
Under the hood
While Porsche is yet to confirm the facelifted Macan's revised engine line-up, the base model is expected to get a 2.0-litre petrol engine which will produce a maximum power of 300bhp - a 48bhp boost up from previous output. Likewise, the mid-level Macan S and Turbo trim should offer 355bhp and 434bhp after getting a power boost of 20bhp and 40bhp respectively.
