Amazon launches next generation of Kindle at Rs. 22,000
As an upgrade to the 2017 edition of its premium e-reader, Amazon has launched the all-new Kindle Oasis (10th-generation) in India. The model comes with a bunch of new features including color adjustable light, fast page turning experience, and a waterproof body. In India, it starts at Rs. 21,999 for the base-end 8GB storage model. Here's our roundup.
2019 Kindle Oasis: At a glance
The all new Kindle Oasis comes with a 7-inch display with a pixel density of 300ppi - similar to the 2017 model. However, the new version comes with a color adjustable front light that lets you customize the color tone from cool to warm. You also get the option to automatically schedule the warmer tone display, either manually or based on sunrise and sunset.
The display can also automatically adjust with ambient lighting conditions
The Kindle Oasis packs a new LED light array that not only offers color temperature customization but also adjusts the brightness of the screen depending on lighting conditions. So, when you are out, the display will automatically become brighter to offer improved legibility.
The new Kindle Oasis feels more like a book
Beyond the size and dimension, turning a page is probably the most important interaction that one has with books. And that is something that cannot be achieved digitally. However, with its next-generation e-ink technology, the new Kindle Oasis delivers a fast page turning experience while the physical page-turn buttons make reading more natural and real.
Pricing, availability and launch offers

It is currently available for pre-ordering via Amazon and will be made available August 19 onwards. Buyers of the new e-reader will get a three-month Kindle Unlimited subscription at Rs. 2 and a 100% discount on the purchase of any e-book worth Rs. 500.
