2019 Chevrolet Blazer SUV unveiled: Here's everything to know
After a long gap of 15 years, Chevrolet is resurrecting the "Blazer" brand name with its all-new crossover. The American automaker has now unveiled the 2019 edition of Chevrolet Blazer - a new entrant that will be positioned between its Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet Traverse SUV/crossover line-up. Here's everything to know about the all-new Chevrolet Blazer.
At a glance
The Blazer's sharp design language is inspired by the company's popular sports car, the Camaro. Up front, the Blazer gets a massive grille with sleek headlamps and redesigned fog lamps for a muscular bold look. Notably, each trim will be offered with different grilles ranging from a blacked-out look to a chrome grille on the premier models of Blazer.
Blazer offers a customizable cabin and a host of tech-stuff
The cabin compliments the exteriors with its sleek, minimalistic design which is also customizable. As for the tech stuff, the Blazer gets 8-inch touchscreen Chevrolet Infotainment 3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, wireless charging and six USB ports. The cabin also gets heated/ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, electronic locking glovebox and electric tailgate.
Under the hood
The all-new Blazer comes in two engine options, both of which come mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission gearbox. So, you can choose between a 2.5-litre motor that generates a maximum power of 193bhp and 255Nm of peak torque or a 3.6-litre V6 engine that produces 305bhp and 365Nm of peak torque. The Blazer will also be offered with a dual-clutch all-wheel-drive system.
