2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class to launch in India on September 20
After unveiling them at the recently concluded Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the C-Class facelift in India on September 20. The updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class will come with some design tweaks and tech updates, along with debuting new petrol and diesel engines. Here's our roundup of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift.
At a glance
In terms of design updates, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sports a diamond grille design with the brand's three-pointed star insignia at the center. Further, the facelifted sedan comes with new LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, and a revised front bumper. Moreover, the 2018 C-Class gets new alloy wheels, slightly tweaked ORVMs, and a pair of new LED taillamps.
Inside the cabin
On the inside, you have leather upholstery with contrast stitching and plenty of chrome accents on the doors and the dashboard. Moreover, the new C-Class comes equipped with a new 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a new steering wheel which we have seen on the E-Class and S-Class models. The sedan also offers an optional 10.25-inch infotainment screen as against the standard 7-inch display.
All models of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is offered as C200 model with a new 1.5-liter engine, and as C220d with a new 2-liter diesel motor. Additionally, the German automaker will also introduce C300 and C300d trims in the near future.
Under the hood
The new Mercedes-Benz C200 is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that generates 184bhp of maximum power and 280Nm of peak torque. In addition, the C220d will run on an all-new 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel motor that makes 194bhp and 400Nm. Notably, all variants of the 2018 C-Class facelift will come with the new, 9-speed, 9G-Tronic automatic transmission instead of the old 7G-Tronic gearbox.
