Maruti-Suzuki S-Cross gets new features; starts at Rs. 8.85 lakh
With the festive season arriving soon in India, Maruti Suzuki has quietly updated the S-Cross with a host of new features such as rear parking sensors and speed alert system. And with these updates coming as standard now, the sub-compact SUV has evidently received a price bump as well. The updated S-Cross now comes at a starting price of Rs. 8.85 lakh. Here's more.
What's new in the updated S-Cross?
Firstly, there are no mechanical or styling changes made to the S-Cross. As standard features, the S-Cross now comes with rear parking sensors, a speed alert system and a passenger seatbelt reminder. Further, the automaker has updated the Delta variant with automatic climate control, cruise control, auto-folding rear-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, and Smart Key feature with a push-button start.
Under the hood
The updated Maruti Suzuki S-Cross continues to be powered by the 1.3-liter diesel engine, which mates to 5-speed manual gearbox, churns out tuned 89bhp and 200Nm of peak torque. Reports also suggest that the company may offer S-Cross with a 1.5-liter K-Series petrol engine which debuted on the recently launched Ciaz facelift. The engine generates 103bhp and 138Nm of peak torque on the Ciaz.
New pricing of all S-Cross variants
The S-Cross Sigma now starts at Rs. 8.85 lakh as against its old price of Rs. 8.61 lakh. The Delta variant is priced at Rs. 9.97 lakh after getting a Rs. 55,000 hike. The price of Zeta model has been increased by Rs. 47,000 and it costs Rs. 10.45 lakh. Lastly, the Alpha variant now comes at Rs. 11.45 lakh (previously: Rs. 11.32 lakh).
