2018 Hero Karizma ZMR: At a glance
The 2018 Karizma ZMR got no design changes in comparison to the earlier model. However, it got a sportier front with dual dynamic headlamps, LED position lamps, a large front fairing and multi-function digital console. Further, you get a split-seat setup with LED taillight and indicators at the rear. The bike is available in Blazing Red, Vibrant Orange, Panther Black and Spotlight White colors.
For the road: Brakes and suspension
The 2018 Karizma ZMR has telescopic forks in the front and twin shocks at the rear. For braking performance, the bike has disc brakes both in front and rear, but without ABS.
Under the hood
The 2018 Hero Karizma ZMR is powered by the same 223cc 4-stroke single cylinder, oil-cooled engine with fuel injection. The motor is now BS-IV compliant and can produce a maximum power of 20bhp at 8,000rpm and 19.7Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox that lets the bike reach a claimed top speed of 129kmph.
Journey of the Karizma ZMR: Fallen 'Hero'
Launched in 2003, the Hero Karizma was one of the most popular motorcycles, known for its sporty design and the brand's trust. However, with the lack of updates from Hero and rising competition from Bajaj (Pulsar 220F and others), the Karizma couldn't stay "above all".
