Vizag: YSR Congress Chief Jagan Reddy stabbed at airport
What's the story
On Thursday, Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief of YSR Congress was attacked by an unidentified man at Visakhapatnam Airport.
Reddy suffered a minor injury on his left arm. The man used a sharp metal object to attack the politician.
Police said Reddy allowed the man to click a selfie with him, and after taking the picture he turned around and attacked him.
What happened
Official says youth was arrested after he attacked Reddy
An official said the youth asked Reddy if his party will get 160 seats in elections next year. "After clicking a selfie he turned around and slashed with a blade that is usually used in cockfights," he said, adding the youth was taken into custody soon.
Meanwhile, party leaders asked why the youth was allowed to enter the airport without proper security checks.

"When you cannot even take in a nail cutter, how did this youth get into the lounge with that sharp instrument," asked YSR Congress MLA Roja Selvamani. She accused TDP government of security lapses which led to the attack.
