Outside TMC office, woman forced to do squats holding ears
What's the story
A picture of a woman wearing a garland of shoes, and doing squats holding her ears, outside Trinamool Congress office in West Midnapore, Bengal went viral on Saturday.
While TMC said none of its party workers was involved in the incident, locals alleged the woman's husband was held captive at the party office and beaten up.
The police refused to comment on the matter.

Woman's husband is former TMC workers, say locals
The woman's husband is a former panchayat samity member of TMC. On polling day, Monday, the couple allegedly had an argument with TMC workers.
On Friday, her husband was called to the party office and reportedly beaten up.
When he didn't return after a while, the woman went to the office. She was forced to apologize and asked to do squat holding ears.

"It was in no way connected to panchayat poll. The couple had some issues with locals and there is a rivalry between two groups. We're trying to find out who are involved. TMC never promotes such actions," said Midnapore TMC president Ajit Maity.
