A video of locals in Buxar, Bihar, running to snatch flower pots kept along the road outside the district guest house for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's visit has gone viral.
The incident took place soon after Kumar left the area on Saturday.
The video shows men, women, and children taking away all the pots before authorities could step in.
Some kids can be seen carrying them on their heads.

Kumar was in Buxar as part of his 'Pragati Yatra' and inaugurated several developmental projects.
These included a multi-village water supply scheme in Keshopur, Nikrish Pump Canal in Chausa block, a railway overbridge near Raghunathpur railway station, and a light and sound show building at Ramrekhaghat.
He also laid the foundation stone for the Vishwamitra Tourist Hotel at Buxar Golambar.

Viral video sparks online criticism
The video of the incident has sparked a backlash on social media platforms.
"Really difficult to deal with this kind of mindset," wrote one user.
Another drew parallels with a similar incident during the G20 summit in Delhi, saying, "The same happened in Delhi when the G20 summit with some of them coming in Scorpio and Fortuner at night to take the pots."

Notably, this isn't the first such incident.
In 2023, a viral video showed two men stealing flower pots placed by authorities for beautification works ahead of a G20 meeting in Gurugram.
A property dealer was arrested after the Urban Environment Division of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) filed a police complaint.
