India will face another partition in 2047: BJP's Giriraj Singh
What's the story
Bharatiya Janata Party member and Union minister, Giriraj Singh once again does what he's good at- releasing controversial statements.
This time, he has claimed that India may witness another partition in 2047.
Pointing that India was divided in the name of religion in 1947, he said that the population has gone up from 33 crore to 135.7 crore in 72 years.
Here's more on what he said.
Details
"There is an uproar over Section 35A; Partition is inevitable"
Without naming any community but subtly hinting, Singh tweeted that, "Situation like 1947 will take place in 2047."
He added that the population has shot up massively, and that the "population explosion of the divisive forces" is dreadful.
Referring to the controversy over Article 35A, his tweet read, "There's uproar over 35A. It will soon become impossible to even say Bharat."

72 साल में जनसंख्या 33cr से बढ़कर 135.7cr हो गया है।
विभाजनकारी ताक़तों का जनसंख्या विस्फोट भयावह है ।

He had also asked for the definition of minorities
In a recent interview to Zee Hindustan, the Union minister had said that the increasing population was a big issue in India.
"There should be a debate from sadak (road) to sansad (Parliament) on population control in the country and a debate on the definition of minorities. If a strong law isn't made on population control, then the country would suffer," he had said.
Not his first time!
His other volatile statements
Notably, this is not the first time that he has courted controversy. In June, he had called the Opposition "Osamawadi".
He said Opposition parties that supported Maoists, caste politics and feudalism have ganged up against the NDA, and accused the Opposition of backing Osama Bin Laden.
"Maowaadi, jaatiwadi, samantwaadi aur Osamawadi, sabhi rashtrawadi gathbandhan NDA ke khilaf ekjut ho gaye hain," he had tweeted.

The other remarks
Further, during April 2014 campaign, he was booked for saying "those who do not oppose Modi should go to Pakistan".
In May 2014, he again dropped the bomb and asked, "Why all the terrorists belong to one community?"
In March 2015, he made a racist comment about Sonia Gandhi saying it was her skin color that made her the Congress's president.

No lessons learnt
Though BJP has, time and again, warned its ministers to not make any controversial comments, it seems no positive results have yielded and those like Giriraj have just not learned their lessons!
